How long have you been riding? Since April 17, 1997. I started riding not because I wanted a motorcycle it was do to the fact I could park next to my building and parking was free for motorcycles. How old were you when you got your first bike? What was it? I was 40 yrs old when I bought my first bike; it was a 1996 Kawasaki VN800-A2
How many bikes have you owned over the years? I have owned 4 motorcycles: - My first Motorcycle was a 1996 Vulcan 800 April 17, 1997 - June 3, 199
- My Second Motorcycle was a 1998 Fatboy June 3, 1998 - May 27, 1999,
- My Third Motorcycle was a 1999 Electra Glide Classic May 27, 1999 – February 1, 2009;
- My forth bike is a 2003 Kawasaki ZZR1200 – September 1, 2007 to currently.
What upgrades do you have on your current bike? 3 -12v power accessories, Beltronics Rx75 Plus Laser – installed by a company that installs police radar units. Centech AP-1, Corbin backrest, Custom dash accessories, D&D exhaust, Double Bubble windshield. Dual Air Horn, Dunlop Sportmax Roadsmart, Over 9K on last rear tire, Garmin GPS installed in the upper center of dash under windshield, Givi Saddlebags, HyperPro Damper & Mount, Lowered foot pegs, LSL sliders, Padded grips, Stage 1, carburetor kit, Tank Bar,
How often do you ride? Everyday or in other words I will ride in the rain or on a windy day but not when it is raining and the wind is blowing.
What is your favorite place to ride? In California along the coast or along Highway 50 or Interstate 80 going East. What is your favorite riding memory? Going to Sturgis for the very first time. It was my first time going for more than a day on a motorcycle, going out of California and sleeping in a tent.
What is the longest bike trip you’ve ridden? Going to Sturgis, I have been three times so far and each time I put over 3000 miles on the odometer.
Have you ever done a track day? No.
How long have you been on ZZRBikes.com? Since February 28, 2008
What is your favorite part of this site? The "Member Spotlight",“Welcome to Reviews Section” and the “Forums” area that is located on the left hand side of the main page.
This is a great site with lots to offer any ZZR owner; I enjoy sharing my thoughts on the different message boards. I would like to see more “How to Pages” with pictures to see how the owners installed their aftermarket item.

We are starting a new feature here on the site called Member Spotlight. It will take the place of Bike of the Week for a while. It is to showcase a different member and tell us all a little more about him (or her). Everybody has their own unique way of how we came to love a motorcycle, and how we found this site. We'd love to hear and share those stories. If you want to be a part of the Member Spotlight, send an email to jeff@zzrbikes.com with Member Spotlight in the subject line. We've put a list of basic questions below to get you started, but feel free to add anything you want to share. Be sure to include a good pic of you with your bike.

I have had a few PM's telling me about rumors the site was going away. That is news to me. I have repeatedly said that I would not just shut it down.
The time has come where I said if it looked like I was going to have a problem, I would let everyone know. Well that time is here. I need the real members who have made this there home to help me out with the expense of the site. It costs about $220 a month now to keep things going. Thats not a lot, but right now it is. I hope to be back in a position soon to absorb them again. But until then, I need your help. My paypal address is

They take it from this account on the first of every month. So if you guys want to, you can post what you send and keep a running total and stop at about 230. After paypal fee's, that should be enough to cover it with a couple of bucks left over. Or you all can send money and I will tell you when there is enough. I would prefer you all just keep a tally so you can see for yourselves, but just let me know what you think. I have enjoyed being the owner and making a lot of new friends. I just need some to step up and help out for now. If it doesnt matter enough to most of the members what happens to the site then I will shut it down. I don't think this is the case. I know a lot of the members has expressed the desire to help and I hate to depend on others, so I have waited as long as possible to do this. Anyway let me know what you all think.
